Renee Bade presented chapter business with assistance from other officers as mentioned.



Membership (by Diane Leith)

Benefits: The benefits of national membership, the membership drive program, and current membership statistics were presented via PowerPoint. Membership brochures (Individual and Corporate), membership applications, membership drive “wanted” posters, and a summary of current SESHA job postings were displayed to promote national membership.


Drive: Each national member who brought a guest received a raffle ticket for a drawing for a gift card. Sharon Fisher won a $15 gift card to Starbucks for bringing Gary Monroe of Tokyo Electron.

Mini-Conference (By Steve Trammell)

Steve Trammell gave an update on the mini-conference scheduled for February 17th, 2005. The conference format is single general session in the morning with several keynote speakers, then a multi-track session in the afternoon highlighting specialty and technical topics. It will be held at the Freescale complex on Parmer Lane.


Next Meeting (by Steve Trammell)

The next meeting will be a social in December. The date and place will be announced in a forthcoming email.



Presentations

Richard Gartman, EHS Director at Texas State University, presented on Ethics and the EHS Profession.

Joe Van Gompel of BOC Edwards presented on Advances in Hydrogen Abatement.

Ed McCarthy of Freescale facilitated a “lessons learned” roundtable session. Discussions from the roundtable included compatibility issues in waste pipes and fires in wet baths.

For their contributions each received a $25.00 gift certificate to Home Depot paid out of the chapter funds.


We encourage the submission of presentation abstracts and/or ideas for future presentation.


Lunch & Networking

BOC Edwards provided lunch. After the meeting attendees networked for 15- 30 minutes.
